FY 21/22: The transportation impact fees that will fund this project recommendation were collected prior to the start of this fiscal year and are currently budgeted as Reserves for Capital Outlay in the amount of $1,458,836.16. If approved, $35,000 in Reserves will be re-budgeted as a Transfer to Brevard County Public Works.

Recommendation
It is requested that the Board of County Commissioners consider approval of the project funding recommendation in the amount of $35,000 as prepared by the Technical Advisory Committee for the South Mainland Benefit District on September 30th, 2021; and if approved, authorize the Budget Office to execute the budget change request necessary for implementing this appropriation. Budget transfer to Fund 1232 from Fund 1213.

Summary Explanation and Background:
The Technical Advisory Committee for the South Mainland Benefit District met on September 30th, 2021 and unanimously approved the project funding recommendation for the North John Rodes Boulevard Sidewalk Project from Eau Gallie Boulevard to Aurora Road. The sidewalk will be 8 ft wide and approximately 4,320 LF along the westside of North John Rodes Blvd. The project will also include reconstruction of curb ramps with detectable warning surfaces, curb and gutter, updating existing pedestrian crosswalks, driveway construction, sidewalk removal, bike railing construction, signing and pavement marking, mailbox relocation, selective clearing and grubbing of existing trees, and construction of two bus transit stops.
