Summary Explanation and Background:

The General Stormwater Pollution Prevention Outreach Agreement, Service A (CM # 4358), was entered into effect by the Board of County Commissioners and MRC on January 8, 2019. These services provide outreach and education which helps the County and partnering municipalities comply with several of the State’s National Pollutant Discharge and Elimination System (NPDES) Municipal Stormwater Separate Sewer System (MS4) permit requirements.

Section XXIII (Duration of Agreement) page 13 of the contract stipulates the agreement may be extended in one-year increments for up to five years.

The Natural Resources Department kindly requests the approval of the third renewal of the Original Agreement through January 8, 2023, and the delegation of authority to the County Manager to sign the remaining contract renewals for the Service A contract with the Marine Resources Council.
