In accordance with Section 62-2841(i), it is requested that the Board of County Commissioners grant final plat approval and authorize the Chair to sign the final plat for Meadow Lakes Estates Phase One.

Summary Explanation and Background:

There are three stages of review for subdivision plan approval: the pre-application conference, the preliminary plat/final engineering plan review, and the final plat review. Meadow Lakes Estates Phase One was originally submitted in May 2005.  The preliminary plat and final engineering plans, which is the second stage of approval, was approved on January 22, 2008. The infrastructure was constructed in 2008 to 2009, but did not receive a certificate of completion and was left vacant for some time. Several extensions were granted, and the current property owner is now attempting to complete the project. The infrastructure has been re-inspected to verify compliance with maintenance standards for acceptance by the County. The third stage of review is the final plat approval for recordation.

 

Staff has reviewed the final plat for Meadow Lakes Estates Phase One, and has determined that it is in compliance with the applicable ordinances.

 

Meadow Lakes Estates Phase One is located approximately 2 miles north of US Highway 46 on the west side of Highway 1 in Mims. Phase One contains 22 single-family home sites.

 

This approval is subject to minor engineering changes as applicable. Board approval of this project does not relieve the developer from obtaining all other necessary jurisdictional permits.
