Summary Explanation and Background:
Pursuant to the Brevard County Charter and Code of Ordinances, the Board of County Commissioners is asked to confirm the appointment of Wendi Jo Bost as Library Services Director effective March 15, 2021.
Ms. Bost has over 27 years’ experience in all aspects of library service which includes Public Service Administrator, Acquisitions Services Manager/Collection Development Manager, Manager of Circulation in the Orange County Library System. Ms. Bost has extensive training in running several library branches and managing a multi-million-dollar budget. Her strengths include customer service, public relations, partnership development, public speaking, team building and identifying growth opportunities.
Ms. Bost earned her Bachelor of Science Degree from Cornell University and her Master’s Degree in Library and Science and Information Systems from the Florida State University.
