It is requested that the Board approve the Brevard County Board of County Commissioners Single/Sole Source Justification and authorize the Chair to execute the Brevard County Board of County Commissioners Single/Sole Source Justification and Approval Form upon review and approval of the County Attorney's Office and Risk Management.

Summary Explanation and Background:
On August 6, 2019 the Board of County Commissioners approved the Vendor of Record List which approved the use of State Contracts, Cooperative Contracts, and other agency contracts as vendors on the attached list; approved the use of the attached list of vendors of record determined to be single or sole source for the products or services as indicated.
Parks and Recreation is in the process of procuring Kubota Equipment that was budgeted for in their 2019/2020 annual budget.
On October first County Staff received a letter from an approved vendor on the Approved Vendor list that their company (Robinson Equipment Company, Inc.) had been purchased by another company (Florida Coast Equipment Company). Florida Coast Equipment Company is the sole Kubota Equipment dealer for Brevard County, and in accordance with policy they are considered a Single/Sole provider of equipment and service for Kubota equipment.
Florida Coast Equipment Company is not on the approved vendor list and as such, policy requires that the Board approve procurements exceeding $100,000.00. It is being requested that the Board approve the Single/Sole Source for Florida Coast Equipment Company replacing Robinson Equipment Company on the approved vendors list.
