Recommendation
It is requested that the Board of County Commissioners:
1. Appoint a member to the Titusville-Cocoa Airport Authority who is appointed jointly by County Commissioners for Districts One, Two, and Four; or
2. Advertise for additional applicants for this jointly appointed member on the Titusville-Cocoa Airport Authority.

Summary Explanation and Background:
The Titusville-Cocoa Airport Authority (“the Authority”) is the governing body of the Titusville-Cocoa Airport District, organized under Chapter 2003-363, Laws of Florida. The Authority consists of seven members, one of whom shall be appointed jointly by the County Commissioners for District One, Two, and Four. Besides being appointed by the stated County Commissioner Districts, the appointee must also reside within the Titusville-Cocoa Airport District.
Currently, the only vacant seat on the Authority is the member seat that is jointly appointed by the County Commissioners for Districts One, Two, and Four. In January 2026, the County received two applications for appointments to the Authority who currently reside within the Titusville-Cocoa Airport District.
