Summary Explanation and Background:
The Board has recently expressed a willingness to limit expenses incurred by Commissioners due to the proposal made by District 1 to cap certain expenses. As such, it is proposed to revise BCC-92 in order to limit certain reimbursements by the five elected Board members. This would not impact any staff reimbursements.
Currently, several Commissioners are seeking reimbursements for mileage. The attached policy would prohibit this practice for travel within Brevard County.
