Summary Explanation and Background:

Each year, the Board of County Commissioners receives grant funding from the Florida Department of Health (F.S. 401.104) to support and enhance EMS for the residents of Brevard County. Distribution of these funds is conducted in accordance with the EMS Ordinance (Code of Ordinances, Chapter 42-108), which is attached.

Applications submitted by local EMS providers were evaluated and numerically ranked by an independent review committee comprised of members with emergency medical experience and are not associated with organizations that submit grant fund requests.

This is an annual recurring grant program funded by the Florida Department of Health.
