Requested Action:
Recommendation
It is requested that the Board conduct a public hearing and:
Hear any public comment on the inventory list of property that is within the county’s jurisdiction, to which the County holds fee simple title, and is appropriate for use as affordable housing; and
Review and make any revisions to the inventory list at the conclusion of the public hearing; and
Adopt the Resolution that includes an inventory list of real property within the county’s jurisdiction to which the County holds fee simple title, and which has been found to be appropriate for use as affordable housing.

Summary Explanation and Background:
As required by Section 125.379, Florida Statutes, the County is required by October 1, 2026, and every 3 years thereafter, to prepare an inventory list of all real property within the County’s jurisdiction to which the County or any dependent special district within its boundaries holds fee simple title that is found to be appropriate for use as affordable housing.
The Housing and Human Services Department reviewed the County’s surplus property and has identified the following properties as appropriate for use as affordable housing:
