Fiscal Impact:
Construction cost estimate and contingency for this Department's portion of the project is $1,125,519.49. This Department has a Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) grant in the amount of $14M which will reimburse the County for any payments.

Recommendation
It is requested that the Board authorize the County Manager to execute all contracts, contract amendments, and any contract extensions, budget change requests (BCR), change orders, amend the five-year Capital Improvements Plan (CIP) as it relates to this project, and any documents, reimbursement requests, or other administrative actions related to this agreement, upon review and approval by the County Attorney's Office, Risk Management, and Purchasing Services.

Summary Explanation and Background:
In 2022, the Utility Services Department received two grants for wastewater collection system improvements for the South Beaches service area. The grants are from the following: (1) FDEP resiliency grant in the amount of $14M, and (2) ARPA allocation in the amount of $1.8M for the design phase only. All projects associated with the above-mentioned grants are to improve the infrastructure resiliency of our wastewater collection system in the South Beaches service area.
