It is requested that the Board of County Commissioners approve the proposed 2027 Board Meeting Schedule.

Summary Explanation and Background:
The following dates and/or requirements were considered in establishing the attached 2027 proposed Board Meeting Schedule:
• Religious Holidays
• Scheduled Board Holidays
• Election Dates
• Board of County Commissioners Budget Approval Requirements:
o The tentative millage must be certified within 35 days from July 1, 2027.
o The tentative Budget Hearing must occur between 65 and 80 days after July 1, 2027.
o The final Budget Hearing must occur within 15 days of the tentative Budget Hearing and within 5 days of its advertisement.
• The Charter requires an Organizational Meeting of the Board of County Commissioners to occur on the third Tuesday after the first Monday in November. This organizational meeting will occur at 5:00 p.m.
The proposed calendar also provides for budget workshops.
