It is requested that the Board of County Commissioners approve the attached letter to be sent to the Brevard Legislative Delegation and authorize Commissioner Kim Adkinson to sign the letter on behalf of the Board.
Summary Explanation and Background:
SB 180 has significantly impacted Brevard County. There is currently a bill, SB 840, filed in the Senate that will mitigate the negative impacts of SB 180. It is imperative that the Board communicate with the Legislative Delegation as a unified body to express our support for the solutions offered by SB 840. Upon approval by the Board, the letter will be sent to each member of the Legislative Delegation by the District 3 office.
