It is requested that the Board of County Commissioners approve the recommended revisions to Board Policy BCC-37, “Final Action for Collection of Delinquent Fees.”

Summary Explanation and Background:
The Board’s Policy BCC-37 provides for the procedures for the collection of delinquent fees payable to the County. Every 3 years, the Department reviews Board Policies assigned to the Department and determines whether any revisions are necessary. This review entailed an examination of the Federal Trade Commission's Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, the Collection of court-related obligations, and small claims. Based on this review, the Department is recommending grammatical changes to the Policy.
