Fiscal Impact:
Fiscal Year 2025-2026 disbursements to the School Board are currently budgeted at $24,274,466, contingent on actual collections amounts. If approved, $5,771,148.21 will be distributed to the School Board, for which there are available funds from collections to date.

Recommendation
It is requested that the Board of County Commissioners authorize the disbursement of Educational Facilities Impact Fees in the amount of $5,771,148.21 to the School Board of Brevard County in accordance with the terms of the interlocal agreement and authorize the County Manager to execute all necessary budget amendments (BCRs) to implement this appropriation.

Summary Explanation and Background:
On July 13 ,2026, the Impact Fee Advisory Committees for North and South Educational Facilities Impact Fee Benefit Districts met and, by unanimous vote, approved funding recommendations for consideration by the School Board. The Impact Fee Advisory Committees consist of one representative from each of the following: the Brevard County School Board, Brevard County and each municipality within the Benefit District that has entered interlocal agreement with the County to participate in the Educational Facilities Impact Fee Program.
The School Board approved the funding recommendations on July 28, 2026, to include the projects below.
• South Benefit District - $4,425,808.14 for South Area Capacity
• North Benefit District - $1,345,340.07 for North Area Capacity
