It is requested the Board of County Commissioners approve the appointment of one new member to the County EMS Advisory Council, as per ordinance, to serve on the Council for a two (2) year term beginning October 1, 2025, and ending on September 30, 2027.

Summary Explanation and Background:
Pursuant to Article III, Section 42-88 of the Brevard County, Florida Code of Ordinances, the County EMS Advisory Council (Council) was established to perform duties related to emergency medical services as may be delegated by the Board of County Commissioners (Board) and/or Fire Chief from time to time. It is further established Council members shall be appointed or reappointed with confirmation by the Board to serve two-year terms and the Council shall be composed of seven (7) members representing the following stakeholder groups:
1. The County Fire Rescue Chief or designee; and
2. One (1) representative from each of the hospital systems located in the County; and
3. One (1) representative from a private-based emergency medical educator; and
4. One (1) representative form a public-based emergency medical educator; and
5. Three (3) representatives from the Space Coast Fire Chief’s Association, representing the north, central and south county geographical areas.
The Council recommends the following appointments or reappointments to the membership for a two (2) year term and request confirmation of the membership by the Board:
