It is requested that the Board of County Commissioners approve a new Board Policy (BCC-__) for background screening of individuals being appointed to a County advisory board.

Summary Explanation and Background:
A new Board Policy is being sought to ensure consistency over background screenings for individuals being appointed to County advisory boards. Members of these boards advise the Commission on various topics and issues, so it is important there are no serious charges that conflict with the board in which they serve.
The Honorable Rachel Sadoff has generously offered to perform these background checks through her office at no additional cost to the County.
