If approved, a total of $964,000.00 Transportation Impact Fees will be utilized for the projects listed below. The Impact Fees that will fund the project recommendations have been collected and accumulated in Reserves for Capital Outlay until projects are identified and approved.

It is requested that the Board of County Commissioners consider approval of the disbursement of $964,000.00 in transportation impact fee in accordance with the recommendations prepared by the Transportation Impact Fee Technical Advisory Committee of the Merrit Island/North Beaches District and authorize the County Manager to execute all necessary budget amendments (BCRs) required for implementing these appropriations.

Summary Explanation and Background:
The Transportation Impact Fee Technical Advisory Committee of Merritt Island/North Beaches Benefit District consists of representatives from the City of Cape Canaveral, City of Cocoa Beach and Brevard County Public Works. On February 3, 2026, the committee met and unanimously approved the project funding recommendations on the attached project list.
The recommended projects are related to the following improvements, within the City of Cape Canaveral, to Thurm Boulevard:
• Milling and Resurfacing
• Striping
• Upgrading Stormwater System and Sewer Pipes
• Installing Pedestrian Sidewalks
• Installing Concrete Curbing
• Installing Solar LED Pedestrian Lighting
Disbursement to the City of Cape Canaveral: Total appropriation of $964,000.00
