Summary Explanation and Background:
The Natural Resources Management Department is continuing its effort to implement muck removal projects per the Save Our Indian River Lagoon Project Plan. Most recently, an Invitation to Bid was advertised on March 7, 2024. One proposal was received and opened on May 7, 2024.
The scope of services for the Eau Gallie muck removal bid included dredging, dewatering and disposal of approximately 488,057 cubic yards of muck. The sole proposal pricing exceeded the project budget. Staff will re-evaluate the project scope and bid specifications before re-advertising.
