It is recommended that the Board of County Commissioners adopt the budgets for the districts and programs listed below; and authorize the Chair to sign the Resolution.

Summary Explanation and Background:
The following budgets must be adopted on or before September 15, 2026. If there are no objections or requests for individual discussion, these items may be approved with one motion.
Description FY 2026-2027 Budget
• Solid Waste Management Department $152,900,831
Brevard County Code of Ordinances specify that on or
before September 15 of each year, an annual budget shall
be adopted for the Solid Waste Management.
• Stormwater Utility $36,893,535
Brevard County Code of Ordinances specify that on or
before September 15 of each year, an annual budget
shall be adopted for the Stormwater Utility Operations and CIP.
• Fire Rescue Operations Assessment $115,453,611
Brevard County Code of Ordinances specify that on or
before September 15 of each year, an annual budget
shall be adopted for Fire Rescue Operations.
• Melbourne-Tillman Water Control District $4,876,802
A resolution adopting the budget: User fees approved
August 13, 2026 public hearing in the district.
