Fiscal Impact:
If approved, $2,546,000 in Transportation Impact Fees will be utilized for the projects below. The Impact Fees that will fund the project recommendations have been collected in prior years and accumulate in Reserves for Capital Outlay until projects are identified and approved.

It is requested that the Board of County Commissioners consider approval of the disbursement of $2,546,000 in transportation Impact Fees in accordance with the recommendations prepared by the Transportation Impact Fee Technical Advisory Committee of the South Mainland District and authorize the Budget office to execute any budget change requests necessary for implementing these appropriations.

Summary Explanation and Background:
The Transportation Impact Fees Technical Advisory Committee of the South Mainland District consists of representatives from the Town of Malabar, Town of Grant Valkaria, and Brevard County Public Works. On May 5,2025, the committee met and unanimously approved the project funding recommendations on the attached project list. The recommended projects include:
? Intersection improvements at Wickham Road and Aurora Road by Brevard County Public Works (Totaling $505,000)
? Intersection improvements at Wickham Road and Lake Washington Road by Brevard County Public Works (Totaling $536,000)
? Road widening and relocating of FPL power poles on Ellis Road by Brevard County Public Works (Totaling $1,005,000)
? Intersection improvements at Babcock Street SE and Grant Road/Eldron Blvd. by Brevard County Public Works (Totaling $500,000). These funds have previously been set aside per interlocal agreement with the City of Palm Bay.
