The applicant is requesting a change of zoning classification on 1.6 acres from BU-1 (General Retail Commercial) to BU-2 (Retail, Warehousing and Wholesale Commercial) on with an existing BDP (Binding Development Plan) to all BU-2 and with removal of the existing BDP to construct a self-storage mini-warehouse facility. The property is 2.9 acres in size with the remainder having BU-2 zoning. BU-1 zoning permits mini-warehouses with conditions.
The current and proposed BU-2 zoning classification permits retail, wholesale and warehousing commercial land uses on minimum 7,500 square foot lots.
