Fiscal Impact:

Proposed rates for Hazardous Material Response and Fire Prevention Fee Schedules include a 2.95% increase from the previous fiscal year in accordance with the change in consumer price index, with adjustments rounded up to the nearest whole dollar. Additionally, Standby Response Fees are updated in accordance with the most recent FEMA Schedule of Equipment Rates, also rounded up to the nearest whole dollar. Fire Prevention fees are estimated to generate $1,672,500 in Fiscal Year 2025-2026.

Recommendation

It is requested that the Board of County Commissioners approve the Resolution adopting the Annual Hazardous Materials Special Operation Team Schedule of Rates, Standby Response Rates, and the Fire Prevention and Inspection Special Rates for the Fiscal Year beginning October 1, 2025.
