Summary Explanation and Background:

The Florida 4-H Public Speaking Program, powered by FPL, teaches 4th through 6th-grade students to research, write, and deliver a speech on a topic of their choice. Students can participate in classroom, school, and county-level competitions while practicing their research, writing, and communication skills.  Public speaking is an important life skill that improves students’ writing, reading, and listening skills while providing them with a valuable tool they can utilize throughout their educational and professional careers.

Gayle Whitworth-New, 4-H Youth Development Agent, and Lily Kryczkowski, 4-H Program Assistant, will introduce the two county-level winners who will be presenting at this meeting.
