Summary Explanation and Background:
At the last meeting on February 22, 2022, District 3 proposed a Resolution amending the rates in 2008-150 and deleting any “unique fees” to Brevard County. Commissioner Smith was not able to attend and appeared telephonically. Due to phone reception issues, and District 4’s own desire to complete a revised resolution, the Board agreed to table the motion until the March 8th meeting.
A draft memo to law enforcement clarifying the Boards stance on violating 106-5 and predatory tow practices was also presented. For the same reasons, the motion on the memo was also tabled so that it could be addressed simultaneously. No substantive changes to either the Resolution or the memo have been made since the last meeting. Therefore, a motion and vote will be requested for both.
