Summary Explanation and Background:
The subject property is located in Section 12, Township 25 South, Range 36 East, on the east and west sides of South Courtenay Parkway in Merritt Island.

The Board of County Commissioners, in regular session on July 22, 2025, approved the purchase of Tax Parcel Identification Number 25-36-12-00-1, which consists of over 72 acres of wetlands located within the Jefferson Marsh mosquito impoundment in Merritt Island by the Mosquito Control Department in partnership with the Natural Resources Management Department. The parcel contains an exception from coverage on the Owner's Title Insurance Policy for Phosphate, Minerals, Metals, and Petroleum Reservations and Rights in favor of the State of Florida.
