It is requested that the Board of County Commissioners host a 2026 Susan B. Connolly Speak Up Brevard Workshop to hear from citizens regarding their recommendation submissions.
Proposed workshop dates are February 16th, 17th and 26th starting at 6 p.m.

Summary Explanation and Background:
On November 2, 2010 Brevard voters approved a referendum initiated through the Charter Review Commission for citizens to make recommendations on improving efficiency and effectiveness to the Brevard County Board of Commissioners.
On March 3, 2025 Brevard County hosted the first-ever Speak Up Brevard workshop, which received positive feedback from both attendees and the commissioners.
For the 2026 Citizen Efficiency and Effectiveness Recommendations (CEER) cycle the Speak Up Brevard website opened on January 1st, 2026 to receive citizen suggestions through January 31, 2026. The workshop is for the commissioners to hear presentations from citizens that have submitted recommendations via the county website and who would like to present their recommendations in person to the commissioners at a dedicated workshop.
The proposed name of the 2026 Susan B. Connolly workshop is in honor of Palm Bay resident Susan Connolly who passed away on November 12, 2025 following a tragic car collision. Susan had an ongoing passion for serving Brevard County as a citizen advocate and a champion of the Speak Up Brevard program.
