It is requested the Board of County Commissioners:
1. Authorize the development, advertisement and award of a competitive solicitation seeking responses from qualified contractors to provide concessionaire services for the operation of concession services at Spessard Holland North Beach Park;
2. Authorize the Chair to execute the resulting contract upon County Attorney, Risk Management and Purchasing Services approval;
3. Authorize the Parks and Recreation Department Director to execute renewals and amendments upon County Attorney, Risk Management and Purchasing Services approval.

Summary Explanation and Background:
Spessard Holland North Beach Park is a 4.53-acre community beach park located at 2525 Highway A1A in Melbourne Beach. Amenities include dune crossovers, boardwalk picnic shelters, grills, benches, four outdoor showers and two indoor showers for park patrons.
The intent of this competitive solicitation is to seek responses from qualified contractors to provide concessionaire services, and award to the highest qualified vendor.
The 1,234 square foot concession building has been the location for contracted concession services for approximately twelve years. The contract with the current contractor will expire on May 26, 2022 with no renewals remaining.
The resulting contract with the contractor will be for a term of two years with the option to renew for two years and a subsequent one-year renewal.
