Fiscal Year 2025-2026 Disbursements to the School Board are currently budgeted at $23,060,743.00, contingent on actual collection amounts. If approved, $4,386,224.55 will be distributed to the School Board, for which there are available funds from collections to date.

Recommendation
It is requested that the Board of County Commissioners authorize the disbursement of Educational Impact Fees in amount of $4,386,224.55 to the School Board of Brevard County, in accordance with the terms of the interlocal agreement, and authorize the County Manager to execute all necessary budget change amendments (BCRs) to implement this appropriation.

Summary Explanation and Background:
On January 26, 2026, the Impact Fee Advisory Committee for North and South Educational Facilities Impact Fee Benefit Districts met and by unanimous vote, approved funding recommendations for consideration by the School Board. The Impact Fee Advisory Committee consists of one representative from each of the following: the Brevard County School Board, Brevard County and each municipality within the Benefit District that has entered into an interlocal agreement with the County to participate in the Educational Facilities Impact Fee Program.
The School Board approved the funding recommendations submitted by the advisory committee on February 3, 2026, to include the projects below.
• South Benefit District- $3,099,161.89 - South Area Capacity
• North Benefit District- $1,287,062.66 - Separate Day School
