Summary Explanation and Background:
The subject property is located in Section 14, Township 24 South, Range 36 East, on the north side of Via De La Reina, and east of North Courtenay Parkway in Merritt Island.
The Public Works Department is planning the connection of Glenridge Circle and Via De La Reina as part of the Glenridge Circle and Via De La Reina Connection Project. Palmetto Subdivision, as recorded in Plat Book 51, Page 55, of the Public Records of Brevard County, Florida, dedicated Tract E as a future right-of-way tract which was to be owned and maintained by Island Community Developers, Inc. until such time that Glenridge Circle was to be extended southward to connect with the Via De La Reina right-of-way.
The Department plans to incorporate Tract E into Glenridge Circle for the use and benefit of the residents and visitors of Palmetto Subdivision and Brevard County. The residents of Palmetto Subdivision and the Board of Palmetto Homeowners Association of Brevard County, Inc. support the conveyance of the future right-of-way tract to Brevard County and the inclusion of the parcel into the County’s list of rights-of-way.
Island Community Developers, Inc. is a dissolved Florida corporation, and there are no directors or officers able to serve. Pursuant to a petition filed by Brevard County under Sec. 607.1405(6), Florida Statutes, the Court entered a Final Judgment Granting Petition to Appoint Statutory Trustee, on April 29, 2026, in Case Number 05-2026-CA-011649-XXCA-BC, which was subsequently recorded on May 5, 2026, in Official Records Book 10616, Page 418, of the Public Records of Brevard County, Florida. appointing Clifford R. Repperger, Esquire, as statutory trustee for Island Community Developers, Inc., a dissolved Florida corporation. Clifford R.
Repperger, Esquire, has executed the attached Quit-Claim Deed conveying Tract E to Brevard County.
The User Department approves this request.
This acquisition follows the policies and procedures as set forth in Administrative Order 37.
