Summary Explanation and Background:
The County’s Public Works Department's Transportation Improvement program purchased properties to widen Barnes Boulevard from a two-lane road to a four-lane road with sidewalks and stormwater retention amenities. The Department has listed the following parcels as surplus, and no other County department has determined a use for these parcels, which are identified in the County Property Appraiser’s records as parcel ID Nos. 25-36-21-00-251 (Parcel C), 25-36-20-00-11 (Parcel D), 25-36-21-00-278 (Parcel E). Therefore, it is recommended that the surplus parcels be sold using a sealed bid process as outlined in Section 2-244, Brevard County Code of Ordinances for the appraised values or greater.
