Summary Explanation and Background:

Pursuant to the Brevard County Charter and Code of Ordinances, it is requested that the Board of County Commissioners confirm the appointment of Lois Boisseau as the Information Technology Director, effective July 8, 2026. Ms. Boisseau has served as Deputy Director of the Information Technology Department since 2024. Previously, she served as Assistant Information Technology Director from 2016 to 2024, following successive leadership positions within the Department since joining Brevard County in 2005. 

 

Ms. Boisseau brings more than 25 years of experience in information technology, strategic planning, and operational leadership across both government and corporate environments. During her tenure with Brevard County, she has played an integral role in directing technology operations, enterprise systems, and departmental administration. As Deputy Director, she has provided executive oversight of departmental operations, budgeting, project governance, and delivery of technology solutions supporting countywide services and organizational objectives. 

 

Throughout her career with Brevard County, Ms. Boisseau has led organizational planning, project prioritization, and resource allocation while collaborating with County leadership, departments, and stakeholders to align technology initiatives with strategic and operational goals. She oversees implementation and modernization of systems and digital services supporting County operations and public services, while providing leadership and mentorship and overseeing nearly 40 employees.

 

Prior to joining Brevard County, Ms. Boisseau held positions with Oracle Corporation and MCI Systemhouse, where she gained extensive experience in software development, project management, systems integration, and enterprise support operations. This experience has strengthened her ability to deliver innovative technology solutions and support the changing needs of County government.

 

Ms. Boisseau graduated from Rollins College with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems and a minor in Business Administration. She is a certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt and has completed the Brevard County Executive Leadership Institute and other leadership development programs. Her experience, leadership, and commitment to the organization have prepared her to successfully serve as the County’s Information Technology Director.
