Recommendation
It is requested the Board of County Commissioners approve and authorize the Chair to execute the Lease with Space Coast Full Throttle Speedway, Inc. for asphalt kart racing at Space Coast Communities Sports Complex.
It is further requested the Board approve and authorize the Parks and Recreation Director to execute a renewal and amendments upon County Attorney Office and Risk Management approval.

Summary Explanation and Background:
Space Coast Communities Sports Complex is a 207+ acre regional park located off Canaveral Groves Boulevard in Sharpes. An amateur go-kart track is one of the amenities located in the Park.
An Invitation to Quote was advertised by The Central Services Department / Purchasing August 3 through August 17, 2022. Space Coast Full Throttle Speedway, Inc. was the only respondent. Space Coast Full Throttle Speedway, Inc., a Not for Profit organization, has partnered with Brevard County Parks and Recreation Department since the mid-1990's to provide karting classes and oversee asphalt kart racing for participants with a wide range of skill sets from novice to stock and heavy sidewinders.
The resulting Lease with the contractor will be for a term of two years with the option of a one-year renewal.
The awarded contractor will be responsible for providing adequate personnel for crowd and traffic control, payment of all public utility charges and for all facilities and track maintenance in accordance with the National Karting Alliance, Inc. specifications. Lease payment will be due on the 6th day of each month or the first working day thereafter.
