Summary Explanation and Background:

In the United States, Patriot Day occurs on September 11th each year in memory of the nearly 3000 people who lost their lives in the terrorist attacks that took place on September 11, 2001. On that day, first responders of New York City demonstrated the true meaning of the word hero as they went forward into known danger to help and rescue others. Brevard County is blessed to have the same caliber of heroes in our first responder community. This year marks the 21st anniversary of those terrorist attacks.

Clerk to the Board Instructions:

Please print and frame two proclamations. One to be presented to the Brevard County Sheriff and one to be presented to the Brevard County Fire Chief.
