It is requested that the Brevard County Board of County Commissioners Proclaim the Month of August 2022 as “National Breastfeeding Month”.

Summary Explanation and Background:
National Breastfeeding Month is dedicated to advancing advocacy, protection, and promotion of breastfeeding to ensure that families have the opportunity to breastfeed, to spread the word about the benefits of breastfeeding, and learn about available support to ensure every child can achieve their optimal health.
Jamie Lewis (WIC Program Director) and Kara Toledo (WIC and Nutrition Program Coordinator) will accept the resolution.
