Pursuant to the Brevard County Charter and Code of Ordinances, the Board of County Commissioners is asked to confirm the appointment of Patrick M. Voltaire as the County's Fire Chief and Director of Brevard County Fire Rescue Department.

Summary Explanation and Background:
Graduating from Palm Bay High School and a lifelong native of Brevard County, Assistant Chief Patrick Voltaire began his career with Brevard County Fire Rescue as a Fire EMT in 2000. Mr. Voltaire became the Fire Rescue Assistant Chief of Operations in 2019. In this capacity, he reinforced a long-standing reputation as an outstanding leader and an accomplished communicator with a commitment to excellence. Married in 2006 to his wife Allison, also a lifelong Brevard resident, they have two children Gabrielle and Ryder.
Highlights of Pat's career include:
* Then Lieutenant Voltaire was selected to instruct the Brevard Escape and Survival Tactics (BEAST) (2006-2010)
* Participant in the Mother's Day fires, saved Station 89 from burning (2008)
* Incident Commander for Hurricane Dorian
* Department lead in (2020-21):
o Renegotiating Auto-aid agreements with Melbourne Fire Department, City of Cape Canaveral and City of Cocoa
o Establishing Auto-aid agreements with Patrick Space Force Base, City of Indialantic and City of Malabar
o Integrating the Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) system with Brevard County Sherriff's Office
* Company Officer of the Year in 2007; Chief Officer of the Year 2013
* Educational degrees including:
