It is requested the Board of County Commissioners approve modifying the 2022 Board meeting schedule to change the date of the Tentative Budget Hearing from September 8, 2022, 5:30pm to September 6, 2022, 5:30pm.

Summary Explanation and Background:
Per Florida Statute 200.065, and in accordance with Truth in Millage (TRIM) requirements, the Board Of County Commissioners cannot schedule its budget hearings on days the School Board has hearings scheduled. The School Board has first priority of a hearing date and the BOCC has second (s. 200.065(2)(e)2., F.S.).
On November 9, 2021, the 2022 Board of County Commissioner’s meeting schedule was approved, and the Tentative Budget Hearing was scheduled for September 8, 2022, 5:30pm. The School Board approved their 2022 meeting dates on December 14, 2021, and selected September 8, 2022 for their Final Budget Hearing. It is requested that the Board of County Commissioners Tentative Budget Hearing be moved from September 8, 2022, 5:30pm to September 6, 2022, 5:30pm.
