Summary Explanation and Background:
It is common for public and private organizations to offer discounts to employees’ and their immediate families. Brevard County may want to consider instituting discounts for its employees while setting appropriate limits and parameters on such benefits. Examples of applicable areas may include, but would not be limited to, pavilion rentals, camp sites, youth activities and recreational sport leagues. Any discounts would exclude fines imposed (library fines, code enforcement, etc.), and would not be available to commissioners.
