It is requested the Board of County Commissioners approve and authorize the Chair to execute the Amendment and Renewal of Contracted Workers and Background Investigation Check Services Agreement with AUE Staffing, Inc.
It is further requested the Board authorize the County Manager to execute the future renewal upon County Attorney and Risk Management approval.

Summary Explanation and Background:
On October 11, 2017 the Board of County Commissioners granted permission for Purchasing Services to solicit competitive proposals for contracted seasonal workers for the Parks and Recreation Department.
In August 2018 a Request for Proposals was opened to select a qualified vendor to provide contracted seasonal and temporary worker services and to provide the Highest-Level Background Investigation Screening for Recreation Partners, Recreation Instructors, Caretakers, contractors and volunteers working or under contract with the Department.
AUE Staffing, Inc. was awarded the contract on October 1, 2018. The initial term of the contract was for 3 years with the option of 2 additional terms of 1 year each. Approval of the renewal of this contract will extend the term to September 30, 2022.
The Background Investigation Check (fingerprinting) is performed in accordance with the County's Administrative Order 05 regarding background screening. AUE Staffing, Inc. confirms the background clearance, maintains the files and alerts the Department if an applicant is flagged for an arrest within 24 hours of notification of the arrest.
