Summary Explanation and Background:

During the 2021 Legislative Session, the Legislature appropriated and the Governor approved $1,000,000 for the construction of the Brevard County Emergency Operations Center.

Rather than create a new agreement, the Florida Division of Emergency Management decided to modify an existing 2018 state-funded grant agreement for the construction of a new Brevard County Emergency Operations Center.

*                     Note: the funds from the 2018 grant agreement have already been spent.

This modification amends the original grant agreement to reinstate the terms, extend the timeframe (now ending at the end of 2024), and increases the funds by an additional $1,000,000.

The Budget and Scope of Work, Attachment A to this Agreement, are hereby modified to increase as set forth in the Revised Attachment A to this Modification, a copy of which is attached.

Clerk to the Board Instructions:

Please provide Board direction letter with two signed originals of Modification Grant Agreement.
