It is requested that the Board of County Commissioners adopt the Hazardous Materials Special Operations Team Schedule of Rates, Standby Response Rates, and the Fire Prevention and Inspection Special Rates for the Fiscal Year effective October 1, 2021.

Summary Explanation and Background:
The proposed Schedule of Rates and Charges for the Hazardous Materials Special Operations Team and the Fire Prevention and Inspection for FY 2021-2022 remain unchanged from the prior year.
The proposed Schedule of Rates and Charges for Standby Response does change, by utilizing two references: 1) the most current published vehicle rates established by FEMA and 2) labor costs reflected by the most current collective bargaining agreement.
The rates and charges as recommended in the Resolution are projected to provide the following revenues:
Hazardous Material Special Operations $6,463
Standby Response $3,748
Fire Prevention & Inspection $921,452
