Fiscal Impact:
FY 20/21: the transportation impact fees that will fund these project recommendations were collected prior to the start of the fiscal year and are currently budgeted as Reserves for Capital Outlay in the amount of $439,700.33 in Fund 1209. If approved, 115,000.00 in Reserves will be re-budgeted and transferred to Fund 1229.

Recommendation
It is requested that the Board of County Commissioners consider approval of the project funding recommendations in the amount of $ 115,000.00 as prepared by the Technical Advisory Committee for the Merritt Island/North Beaches Benefit District on June 14, 2021; and authorize the Budget Office to execute any budget change requests necessary for implementing these appropriations.

The Technical Advisory Committee for the Merritt Island/North Beaches Benefit District met on June 14, 2021 and unanimously adopted the project funding recommendations itemized below. The Technical Advisory Committee for the Merritt Island/North Beaches Benefit District consists of one representative from the City of Cape Canaveral, City of Cocoa Beach, and one from Brevard County.
Project Funding Recommendations:
1. Appropriate $15,000.00 in transportation impact fees for the construction of 160 linear feet of sidewalk along South Tropical Trail from Ramsey lane to Sims Way. Project will be administered by Brevard County.
2. Appropriate $100,000.00 in transportation impact fees for the construction of 300 linear feet of sidewalk on the east side of South Tropical Trail providing currently missing sidewalk beginning from about 200 feet south of Magnolia Avenue to about 500 feet south of Magnolia.
