Summary Explanation and Background:

In August 2019 we received approval from the Board to amend the software and support agreement with SAP for an upcoming SAP database platform change on the County’s enterprise resource planning (ERP) application.  This was in preparation of the anticipated multi-year planning process and migration of the legacy system database platform that will become obsolete by 2025.

A pilot project consisting of hardware and database implementations has been completed for the foundation of this upgrade.  This work resulting from this RFP completes the technical migration of the database from Oracle to HANA into our production environment. Additional steps in the upgrade are planned over the next four years which consists of migrating the front-end functionality from ECC6 to S4.
