It is requested that the Board of County Commissioners approve the Mutual Termination of Commercial Lease Agreement for the District 1 Office Space located at 2000 S. Washington Avenue, Titusville.

Summary Explanation and Background:

The Board of County Commissioners, in regular session on December 20, 2016, entered into a lease agreement with the Titusville area Chamber of Commerce for approximately 2,442 square feet of office space for the District 1 County Commissioner. The lease term is currently set to expire on December 31, 2024. The monthly rental rate for this space is $1,150.00, thus, moving to a county-owned facility will provide future savings of $13,800.00 annually.  The replacement office space will come from minimal modification to the currently unused office building at Tom Statham park.

 

The parties have agreed that in lieu of the renewal termination date of December 31, 2024, the Commercial Lease Agreement shall terminate on May 31, 2021.
