Summary Explanation and Background:

The subject property is located in Section 23, Township 30 South, Range 38 East, west of US Highway 1, east of Florida East Coast Railway on Allen Avenue in Micco.

Natural Resources Management Department has identified the parcel owned by Robin Follmer as a suitable site to construct a wet detention pond that will provide flood relief for several downstream properties and provide quality water treatment by reducing pollutants flowing into the Sebastian River.  This project is designed to be one of several improvements to Basin 2169 that will provide relief for perennial flooding in several locations for the basin.

Fair market value was established by obtaining an appraisal from W. H.  Benson & Co.  dated December 10, 2020, with a value of $41,000.00.

The User Department approves this request to purchase at the appraised value.

This acquisition follows the policies and procedures as set forth in Administrative Order 37.

Clerk to the Board Instructions:

Upon execution by the Chair, Public Works Department will make arrangements to pick up the original executed Contract for Sale and Purchase with Exhibits from the Clerk’s Office.
