It is requested the Board of County Commissioners authorize staff to issue the Notice to Proceed for Work Order 2019-4271-D-018 in the amount of $236,951 to DRMP, Inc. for the Indialantic Asset Mapping, Drainage Modeling and Master Planning. It is further requested the Board approve any Budget Change Requests associated with this action.

Summary Explanation and Background:
On December 10, 2019, the Board approved the allocation of approximately $5.3 Million of Constitutional Gas Tax and Local Option Gas Tax funding in reserve to be utilized throughout Brevard County for road and bridge infrastructure improvements. As such, each Commission District received an allocation as detailed on the attached table. The $236,951 referenced herein is part of the $1,090,486.83 District 4 allocation approved by the Board on December 10,2019.

Public Works staff identified the need to study the drainage systems in the Indialantic area, as depicted on the attached project map. Subsequently, field inspections and coordination with the engineering consultant, DRMP, Inc. and Brevard County Natural Resources Department were conducted. The Indialantic Asset Mapping, Drainage Modeling and Master Planning study will collect existing drainage information along County maintained roads and rights of way which will be evaluated and modeled by DRMP.
