It is requested that the Board approve the option to extend Lease terms for District 1, 3 and 5 County Commission Offices for an additional four (4) year term, and authorize the Chair to execute all three lease option renewal letters.

Summary Explanation and Background:
The Board of County Commissioners, in regular session on December 20, 2016, approved leases for office space for the District 1 and District 5 County Commissioners. On May 23, 2017 the Board also approved a lease for office space for District 3 County Commissioner.
Leases for all three (3) Commission Offices will expire December 31, 2020. Each lease includes a provision to extend the term for an additional forty-eight (48) months. With the recent outcome of the election, staff seeks authorization to exercise the renewal option in the Leases which would commence January 01, 2021 and expire December 31, 2024.
