It is requested the Board of County Commissioners approve selection and award of Caretaker Services Contracts with:
1) William Mick at Chain of Lakes Park (D1)
2) James Darville at Fay Lake Wilderness Park (D1)
3) Robert Johnson at Fox Lake Park (D1)
4) Robert Weigel at F. Burton Smith Regional Park (D1)
5) Ivette Gomez at McKnight Family Sports Complex (D2)
6) Larry Todd Maddox at Long Point Park (D3)
7) Llewellyn Ehrhart at Maritime Hammock Sanctuary (D3)
It is further requested the Board of County Commissioners authorize the Parks and Recreation Department director to execute the contracts, execute subsequent renewals and authorize the Parks and Recreation director to execute future amendments to incorporate standard contract clauses upon County Attorney and Risk Management approval.

Summary Explanation and Background:
The Parks and Recreation Department has historically utilized caretakers residing at parks to provide security services.
It was determined security services at specific park locations throughout the County was desirable. Out of eleven sites identified, requests for Caretaker Services were advertised for seven sites and interviews were conducted with the applicants.
1) Chain of Lakes Park has an eleven hundred square foot permanent structure owned by the County on the property. Rent is established at three hundred dollars per month.
2) Fay Lake Wilderness Park has a site for the placement of a manufactured home owned by the Caretaker. The Caretaker is responsible for payment of utilities.
