It is requested the Board of County Commissioners: 1) approve and authorize the Chair to execute the Local Agency Program (LAP) Agreement and Resolution with the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) for the Countywide Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) Operations Project FPN 428930-1-88-01; and 2) approve any necessary Budget Change Requests associated with this request.

Summary Explanation and Background:
The Local Agency Program (LAP) Agreement with the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will provide Brevard County the reimbursement from federal funds for the Countywide Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) Operations Project FPN 428930-1-88-01. The implementation of the project is in the interests of both FDOT and Brevard County. The intent of the Agreement is to establish the terms and conditions of the funding and the production of the project. Specifically, the LAP Agreement will provide reimbursement funding for the operating staff and ITS software utilized for the Countywide Intelligent Transportation System Operations in Brevard County.
FDOT will reimburse Brevard County in an amount not to exceed $225,000 for actual costs incurred.
