Summary Explanation and Background:
The subject asset was stolen from the maintenance shed at Cyler Park, 2329 Harry T. Moore Avenue, Mims, FL 32754. A Brevard County Sheriff’s Office Case Report #2019-00282217 was filed on August 2, 2019 when the burglary was discovered and the club car was missing. Measures to ensure the future security of County Property have been implemented by instruction of staff on Property Loss reporting, Inventory Control and Park Security which included the installation of fencing around the maintenance shed with locking chain-link gate for employee only access.
Brevard County Administrative Order 24 Accountability of County-Owned Property V.C3.a Thefts or Unaccounted-for directs Stolen Property, which does not meet the criteria of being either over five (5) years old, or with a depreciated value of less than $5,000 will be submitted to the Board for approval to remove from inventory.
