Staff Report on the CARES Act funds that have been Obligated by Brevard County

Fiscal Impact:
During the Board's meetings in May 2020, the Board allocated $65.4 million to various Public Health and Safety Programs, and Individual Assistance Programs in the County's response to the COVID-19 public health emergency. Through June 19, 2020, the County has obligated approximately $9.7 million of CARES Act funds to these Programs.

Board discussion on the County's progress of the CARES Act Program that have been allocated to the various Public Health and Safety Programs as well as the Individual Assistance Programs. Also requesting Board direction for allocating the unallocated funds of $39.6 million to Economic Support programs for additional funding to the Individual Assistance Programs for community food stability and Small Business Economic Relief Programs.

Summary Explanation and Background:
The Board allocated $65.4 million of CARES Act funding in May 2020. During the first 30 days of the County's COVID-19 response programs, the County has obligated CARES Act funds of approximately $9.7 million o the following Programs:
